70.  […] The Anti-Trafficking Law states that legal residence permits cannot be provided to adult victims of trafficking in persons who are either foreign citizens or stateless persons and whose identify cannot be established, and provides that measures are to be taken to administratively deport such individuals. That provision  raises serious concerns as to how the rights of such victims of trafficking to assistance and protection, including  non-refoulement, are protected. Information was not available on how pre-removal risk assessments are undertaken in practice.

88.  Concerning the early identification and protection of victims and potential victims of trafficking among refugees and asylum seekers, the Special Rapporteur recommends that the Government;

 (c) Continue efforts to reduce statelessness, and continue to ensure the birth registration of all children.
