The Committee recommends that the State party adopt legislation on status determination and to protect the human rights of stateless women who are not refugees and reduce their risk of discrimination, in line with its obligations under the 1954 Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons and the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness. It also recommends that the State party adopt measures to enable access to documentation for such women and to provide them with access to basic services and opportunities of resettlement, as well as adopt a system to gather data on stateless women.
