The Committee recommends that the State party take all measures necessary, including legislative amendments, to ensure that children of migrant workers, including children born to migrant workers in an irregular situation, are registered at birth and issued with personal identity documents, in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal target 16.9, and that it raise awareness of the importance of birth registration among migrant workers and members of their families.
