Specifically, it urges the State party to establish a mechanism for monitoring the activities of the Moroccan authorities responsible for or involved in migration procedures so as to ensure that abuses and violations committed against migrant workers and their family members, such as the confiscation and destruction of their identity documents, are the subject of inquiries and that those responsible are prosecuted and punished in accordance with article 21 of the Convention.

The Committee requests the State party to include in its next periodic report statistical data on naturalization requests and decisions thereon disaggregated by ethnic group, sex, length of residence in the State party, and any other relevant criteria.
